SCOTTISH football has hit the headlines for the wrong reasons lately but we should never miss a chance to talk up our national sport.

Eight-year-old Thomas Carrigan attended his first Celtic match this week and he witnessed a cracker against Lazio. Hoops goalie Fraser Forster was the hero with a terrific save to ensure a Celtic win.

Even better, the giant stopper handed over his shirt to young Thomas at the end of the match. Football really can be the beautiful game.

ONE lucky Celtic fan had the night of his life after watching the Hoops win.

Thomas Carrigan, eight, was attending his first match and witnessed an incredible comeback victory against Italian giants Lazio.

Tom was in awe at a last gasp wonder save by Celtic’s goalie Fraser Forster.

The youngster, who travelled to Glasgow from his London home during half term, was left with a keepsake to cherish when the giant goalkeeper handed him his shirt at the end of the match.

Filippi Moreno, 35, was also fined £200 at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
