X Factor Nicole on her fitness secrets
GYM & FIT Nicole works out in style
CHEERS WE GO A few tips for her TV ‘pupil’ Bashir classes at celebrity gym Barry’s Bootcamp and in the past has spoken about the need to mix things up.
She told Woman’s Health: “In a workout I would run on the treadmill for 20 minutes, then some squats, sit-ups on the exercise ball, some yoga stretches.”
She added: “Me and my girlfriends support each other so when you go (to the gym) you push each other – we try to do different things.
“We’ll go hiking one day and then we’ll try a sculpting hot yoga class, then we’ll do a cardio. We motivate each other.”
Nicole will be back on ITV tonight as the celebrity version of X Factor reaches the live stages.
She said: “It’s going to be insane. To be totally honest, I don’t know what viewers can expect. That’s the fun of it. It’s live telly. People are gonna be surprised.”
Nicole, who has the Overs category, said she won’t hold back from criticising celebs even though many have never had professional singing lessons.
She added: “I’m gonna tell you when something is Schamazing or when its shiitake mushrooms. I’m here to win. I’m relying on the Great British Public to vote my acts through.
“The show feels fresh this year, and the studio is so cool.”
Earlier this week Nicole took news host Martin Bashir from her Overs category to dinner.
Martin, 56, said: “I’ve only been singing for about four weeks and it’s very tempting to concentrate solely on the lyrics and hitting the right notes. But Nicole was very clear, over dinner, how to sell a song.
“She correctly observed I was terrified at Mr Cowell’s house and gave clear directions on how I need to work at my performance. Her guidance has been invaluable.”
The X Factor: Celebrity, ITV tonight, 8.20pm.
