GRAHAM: TRIP IS NOT SCARY

- BY ALASDAIR FRASER

BRIAN GRAHAM is sure the horrors of Celtic Park last week won’t put the frighteners on Ross County for their big Premiership away days.

The Dingwall team venture to the capital to face Hibs seven days after the 6-0 thrashing by Celtic.

But having scrutinised their failings in the east end of Glasgow, Graham insists he and his team-mates are more than ready for the Edinburgh trip.

The former Hibs striker knows the pressures that come with life in Leith and hopes to add to his ex-club’s woes this weekend.

Graham said: “Overall, we have had a good start to the season. Anybody could go to Parkhead and have that happen to them.

“But the manner of it, losing so many goals in quick succession, was a bit hard to take. We’ve looked at it and picked ourselves up. We’re ready to go again.

“We showed when we went to Hearts, where we should have won, we can handle bigger away grounds.

“We are not fearful of going anywhere in the Premiership. We will go into every game confident of getting a result and this weekend is no different.

“That’s just how this bunch of boys are and that’s the way it will be for the rest of the season.”

County went to Easter Road as a Championship club last season in the League Cup and only lost narrowly to a last-gasp Daryl Horgan goal.

Their solitary win there came way back on Boxing Day 2012 when Richard Brittain grabbed a winner for Derek Adams’ side.

But Graham said: “Hibs have not won in eight league games and their fans are getting on their manager’s back.

“But we’ve just got to put all that to the side and forget about them.

“I had a great year there, winning the league. We got to the Scottish Cup semifinal that year as well, as a team in the Championship.

“They have big crowds who demand a lot just like Hearts. We went to Tynecastle and did extremely well and were unlucky not to pick up three points.”
