A weekend in the life of Nick Knowles

I CAN spend all week on the road filming and so by Friday, I love nothing better than collapsing on the sofa, putting my feet up and catching up on all the sport I have recorded.
I tend to have a camomile tea rather than any wine as I am always looking forward to a good night’s sleep.
If I can, I have a good lie-in on Saturday morning and then I tuck into the Knowles’ family scrambled eggs. It’s delicious.
I often head off to the gym afterwards and then go to a local park near me where there is a fantastic cafe converted from a horsebox.
I tend to skip lunch because I’d rather wait for an early dinner and I head to the shops in the afternoon. I like entertaining but I don’t do it often. I like the solitude of the countryside.
If I’m with my youngest son Eddie, who’s five, on a Sunday we wake quite early and then go out for a walk in the countryside looking for dragons. If it’s raining, we will do a super difficult Lego kit. We also like to do gardening together.
I have planted a garden where we can grow strawberries, peas, sweetcorn, apples and plums. Eddie helps me water it and when harvest comes and we pick them together.
I always have a roast on a Sunday, then it’s time for Peaky Blinders, which I love.
