GRAHAM Bentley wants to be with his wife and child while he recovers from a dangerous sepsis infection.

He hasn’t seen his family for almost a year and is desperate to be with them.

But the constructi­on supervisor claims he has been kept apart from his loved ones because the UK Government fears his wife will stay on unlawfully.

His wife Mariely, from the Dominican Republic, does not have a British passport and can’t obtain a visitor’s visa.

The family are in limbo. Mariely is frantic with worry, Graham is pining for his loved ones and a little girl is without her father.

All of this can be resolved if officials allow them to be reunited.

Graham has made a commitment to return with his family to the Caribbean when he fully recovers.

He has lived in the Cayman Islands for more than two decades and is keen to go back.

The refusal to allow a family to be reunited is simply heartless.

The Home Office should show some compassion and allow Graham, Mariely and Annabella to be together.

A WIFE has been banned from coming to Scotland to visit her sick husband as he recovers from a painful broken penis.

Graham Bentley, 45, who has been living in the Cayman Islands for the past 22 years, is home in Scotland waiting for an operation after suffering a fractured urethra, commonly known as a broken penis.

But he has been left distraught after his wife Mariely Baez Dilone was refused permission from the Home Office to visit him.

Mariely, 29, and the couple’s two-year-old daughter Annabella, who are citizens of the Dominican Republic, are desperate to travel to Scotland to be by Graham’s side while he recovers. But their hopes were shattered when immigratio­n chiefs knocked back Mariely’s threemonth visitor’s visa applicatio­n.

Graham said: “I’m absolutely devastated. All I want is to see my wife and daughter. We are a family and should be allowed to be together. “The Home Office are making out like my wife is going to attempt to stay in this country unlawfully, but that is not the case. She only
