MELISSA and Craig Tulloch have settled quickly into their new home – and so has their adorable dog, Ruby.

The couple can now enjoy country walks with their cocker spaniel from their new home in Dargavel Village, Bishopton.

And they were amazed how quickly they were able to move into their three-bedroom dream house in Renfrewshire.

They used home builder Bellway’s express mover incentive, putting their home in Clydebank on the market on a Tuesday at 5pm and selling it for £15,000 over the asking price on the Thursday.

“It couldn’t have been simpler,” said Melissa. “Bellway introduced us to a few estate agents and we agreed a price before putting the house up for sale.

“We didn’t pay a penny in estate agents’ fees, which saved us thousands of pounds.”

Earlier this year, the Tullochs moved into their new “Rosedale” home, which is just a 15-minute drive from Melissa’s job as a supervisor at the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel in Clydebank.

“We looked at different house builders in the area, but we didn’t like the look of the houses on offer,” added Melissa.

“A friend told us Bellway were coming to Dargavel Village and, as soon as we saw the Rosedale, with its spacious living room, we knew that was the house we wanted.

“We also love the way Bellway properties look from the outside – they really stand out from other builders. We enjoy socialising and my parents come over from Edinburgh a lot, so it’s perfect having the kitchen next to the living room.

“We can still chat to visitors while preparing food or getting drinks.”

The Rosedale’s open-plan living and dining room is more than 27ft long, so there’s lots of space for entertaining. Along with a smart contemporary kitchen, this house style also has a cloakroom and integrated garage.

Upstairs, the master bedroom has an en suite shower room and there are a two other bedrooms.

The Tullochs love their new home and have quickly settled into the area, with Craig’s window cleaning business proving popular with their new neighbours.

Melissa said: “It’s a very welcoming place. There’s a local Facebook group, which was a great help when I was looking for a dog walker for our cocker spaniel, Ruby.

“There’s always lots on for families with young children. This year, there was an Easter egg hunt arranged by the residents. It’s a very family friendly place to stay.

“Everyone is so nice and some of our friends are moving into a Bellway home at Dargavel Village later this year, which will be lovely as they will be able to come over for a glass of wine and not have to worry about driving home.”

Bellway at Dargavel Village offers a mix of three and four-bedroom homes, with prices starting from £226,995.

The development is part of the larger regeneration of BAE Systems’ old Royal Ordnance Factory, which will see up to 4000 new homes in total being built alongside commercial and community buildings, a woodland park and recreational facilities.

The Bellway showhomes and sales office at Dargavel Village are open Thursday from 10am7pm, Friday and Monday from 10am-5pm, Saturday and Sunday 11am-5pm. For further information, contact the sales office on 07970 654595.
