SCOTLAND’S first Love Island winner Paige Turley yesterday joked she’s moving to Manchester because Glasgow would be too rough for her boyfriend Finn Tapp.

But the stunning 22-year-old insisted they will be making frequent trips home so he can be a “true Scotsman” in a kilt and gorge himself on square sausage.

Speaking in their first joint interview since leaving the South African villa, Finn also revealed he is going to get “Paigey Baby” tattooed on his bum.

Paige, from Fauldhouse, West Lothian, said: “I love Scotland. I’ve never had a reason to move away from it. I think Glasgow might be a bit rough for Finn. They’d eat him alive! I’m joking.

“I think it would be a bit unfair of me to take him away from his comforts.

“I’ve been on one night out to Manchester and I’m like, ‘Let’s move to Manchester.’”

Finn, a semi-pro footballer with Oxford City, said: “I did say to Paige’s dad, ‘Get me a kilt measured up.’

“I know the rule about a true Scotsman – no boxers underneath. I’m going Scottish.

“I’ve never had haggis, never had square sausage. They are also on the list and I’m definitely going to follow Scottish football.

“In celebration of Paige, I’m adding a tattoo to my collection. Paige’s name is going somewhere. Maybe ‘Paigey Baby’ on my a***.”

Finn and Paige managed to overcome the odds to beat the bookies’ favourites Siannise Fudge and Luke Trotman in Sunday night’s live final on ITV2.

The blonde singer, who reached the semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent in 2012 when she was 14, chose an envelope from host Laura Whitmore that had the £50,000 prize money inside. Naturally, she chose to share it with her man.

Finn, who is from Milton Keynes, said: “Hearing we had won was very surreal. We just sat looking at each other and started laughing – how did we blag this?

“When Paige opened her envelope and I saw the £50k I thought, ‘Oh no!’ but I knew I’d get some of it.”

Mouthy Paige admitted she thought 20-year-old Finn was too quiet – and too young – for her at first.

She said: “He was nervous. I wanted boisterous. I think he was just a bit reserved. Then the age thing kind of threw me.

“A couple of days later he started coming out of his shell and I saw that he was quite lairy, like me. I don’t even feel like there is an age gap any more.”

Paige, who works at Forty Clothing in Glasgow’s Royal Exchange Square, dated singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi when she was 18 and he urged his fans to vote for her while accepting his Brit awards last week.

She was the most talked-about contestant on the show amid claims his huge hit Someone You Loved was about her. Despite revealing that the song was really about his late gran, Lewis later admitted another hit, Hold Me While You Wait, was about Paige.

Tipped to make millions, Finn and Paige, the first pair to couple up on the first winter Love Island, are planning to put a deposit on a flat, buy a dog and go on holiday.

Recruitment consultant Finn said: “Paige wants an English bulldog and I want a blue Staffy. It will either be called Frank or Wallace.”

Paige struck up a close friendship with unlucky-in-love islander Shaughna Phillips and says there is a good chance she might move in with them.

She said: “It’s got to happen. Finn is going to set her up with his cousin.”

Paige’s dad said she was like an “ice queen” who melted and Finn admitted he has big plans for a future together.

He said: “I’ve got an idea of how I would want to propose. I have thought about marriage with Paigey.”

The duo admitted it was hard not to get steamy in such a sexually charged environment.

Paige said: “Being in there and sharing a bed for so long and having genuine feelings, it’s hard to fight them.”

Finn added: “You go in and think, ‘I’m not going to do it’, but then you’re living 24/7 having genuine, solid feelings for someone and are really attracted to them. Some of them bikinis – phwoar.”

The pair, who had fiery rows on the show, both prefer to speak their mind.

Finn said: “I hate going to bed in a mood or unhappy. I hate it dragging.”

Paige said: “I’d rather just say it. Sometimes a bit bluntly.”

The show has taught them a lot. Finn said: “It’s taught me patience and that happy wife, happy life.”

Paige added: “It’s taught me to let the walls come down – that it’s not always a big scary thing. And to not shout as much… or swear as much.”
