Murder scene ‘was like a horror movie’

BY GRANTMcCAB­E A MURDER trial was told the kitchen of the 23-yearold victim’s house was like a “horror movie”.

Paramedic Angela McKenzie, 48, described seeing Neomi Smith on the floor when she arrived.

Giving evidence at the trial of Keith Rizzo, 23, who denies murdering Neomi at her flat in Brechin on June 9, she said: “It was brutal. There was blood spattered everywhere.”

McKenzie said she checked Neomi’s neck for wounds, adding: “It was full of holes – the back of her head and her neck.

“I gave up counting how many holes there were.”

McKenzie told the High Court in Glasgow yesterday that despite giving her 22 minutes of CPR, Neomi was pronounced dead at the scene. The trial continues.

Olympic taekwondo bronze and silver medallist Lutalo Muhammad, 28, gave Kate a coaching session and said of her punch: “Her right hand was mean. Trust me, that was a hard punch.”
