What the well dressed lifestyle blogger is wearing
LIFESTYLE blogger Daniel Benjamin, who works in HR, is a big fashion fan.
Daniel, 28, from Edinburgh, spends up to £200 a month on clothes – but as a blogger he’s also gifted clothes on occasion.
He said moving to the capital encouraged him to become more fashion conscious and added: “You do become a bit more conscious living in a place where there’s always something to go to and especially being in the social media industry, you feel you want to look good.
“I want to feel confident in how I come across to people in what I’m wearing. I might buy one or two things every other week. I try to make sure if I buy something new, it goes with most of the things already in my wardrobe.
“I bought a new pair of trousers last week to go with a suit and jumper I had to wear to an event. I mix and match items.
“I have a mix of high street and online from Cos, H&M, ASOS, Urban Outfitters and Top Man.
“I spend about £150 to £200 a month on clothes. I think I’m very fortunate that some stuff is gifted to me which is very nice.”
Daniel says he’s become more conscious of the environmental impact of clothes shopping. And if he’s not wearing outfits any more he’ll give them to friends or charity shops or sell items on Depop.
“It doesn’t surprise me that we’ll probably buy more than 20,000 items of clothing in a lifetime when I think of the stuff I had growing up and the stuff I’m buying now which is already quite a lot,” he said. ● Follow Daniel on Instagram @danielbk
