THE BROTHER of Scotland’s biggest ticket tout is a fraud investigator for Britain’s biggest bank, the Record can reveal.

Our probe has also found that bank cards issued to RBS employee Chris Newman were used by his millionaire brother Andrew to buy multiple tickets for gigs, which he would sell on tout sites Viagogo, StubHub and Get Me In!

A similar operation led to English touts Peter Hunter and David Smith receiving long jail sentences at Leeds Crown Court last month.

It is understood Chris Newman, an SFA referee who works a fraud analyst for RBS, has told his bank bosses he was unaware that his brother was using bank cards in his name.

But Andrew Newman has previously told a different story and said he was given full consent to use the cards of family members.

UK ticket fraud investigator Reg Walker said: “Given his job as a fraud investigator, if he believed fraud to be taking place, he should report it.”

Walker added that the trial of Hunter and Smith “established using multiple cards and identities is fraudulent trading”.

When the Record approached Chris Newman for comment after a match he was refereeing at Stirling University, he shouted repeatedly: “Get that man away from me,” and ran into the changing rooms.

We contacted RBS to ask if Chris Newman had used his position at the bank to get bank or credit cards for
