THE CHARGES
Alex Salmond has been charged with a variety of sexually related charges involving the following women:
Woman A
Charge: INDECENT ASSAULT AND SEXUAL ASSAULT
The former first minister is charged with indecently assaulting Woman A in 2008 and sexually assaulting her in either December 2010 or December 2011.
Woman B
Charge: INDECENT ASSAULT
Salmond is charged with indecently assaulting Woman B at Bute House in October or November 2010.
Woman C
Charge: SEXUAL ASSAULT
Salmond is charged with sexually assaulting Woman C in a car in Edinburgh during February 2011. The defendant is accused of touching her leg with his hand over her clothing.
Woman D
Charge: SEXUAL ASSAULT
Salmond is charged with sexually assaulting Woman D on a number of occasions between 2011 and 2013 at various locations, including Bute House and the Scottish Parliament building.
Woman F
Charge: INTENT TO RAPE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT
Salmond is charged with intending to rape Woman F at Bute House in December 2013 and sexually assaulting her in either November or December 2013.
Woman G
Charge: SEXUAL ASSAULT
Salmond is charged with sexually assaulting Woman G twice – once in Glasgow during 2012 and secondly in Bute House in April 2014.
Woman H
Charge: SEXUAL ASSAULT AND ATTEMPTED RAPE
Salmond is charged with sexually assaulting Woman H in 2014 before attempting to rape her the same year.
Woman J
Charge: SEXUAL ASSAULT
Salmond is charged with sexually assaulting Woman J in Bute House in September 2014.
Woman K
Charge: SEXUAL ASSAULT
Salmond is charged with sexually assaulting Woman K at Stirling Castle in late 2014, by touching her buttock.
