I’m not masking how serious it is but we all need cheered up

-

I ONLY started wearing a mask to wind my girlfriend Michelle up when we need to go out – I started buying the masks a few years ago because I wear them to hardcore raves.

I told Michelle it was for health and safety. She told me I’m a pure embarrassment and refused to go shopping with me, because people would think I’m mental or be scared that I was robbing them.

So I sneaked it out one day and put it on and started taking pictures. Michelle was raging but I posted the pictures of me wearing the mask and Michelle looking mortified on social media, and all my pals thought it was hilarious.

So I’m posting stuff every day to keep their spirits up during the lockdown – like a picture of me running away from the supermarket with a toilet roll.

I know this is really serious and people are really ill but if we don’t have something to cheer us up, that’s not good for us either.

Yesterday, I told Michelle I was wearing the mask all day. She said: “No, you’re NOT.” But I did.

Michelle has pictures of me in bed sleeping with it on – she’s helping me with the filming now.

She’s a wee star. I probably wind her up too much and she goes “aff her heid” with me sometimes but mostly we get on great despite being cooped up. I take it off before I go inside shops, because I agree, it’s scary looking and I don’t want to frighten anyone.

I just want to have a wee laugh. I posted some films I made with wee weans in the street howling with laughter and waving at me yesterday – it’s just wee things like that to fight the boredom and people are enjoying it.
