Inflatable sumo skater Misty’s on a roll

-

“I’M BEING home schooled by my mum and dad and they are very good teachers. It was a bit weird at first but I’m used to it now.

“I miss seeing my friends at school, my favourite thing to learn at school is writing.

“The lockdown is a bit boring sometimes, but it’s fun too. Every morning I do the Joe Wicks fitness routine online. Yesterday, he asked people to dress up while they were exercising and I dressed up as a Glasgow granny. It was a wee bit harder to do the exercises dressed up, but it was very funny.

“I bake as well and I’ve been doing different kinds of art. I made an art wall in the close so that the neighbours could different drawings on it and there’s a lot of different things on it already.

“My favourite thing to do is go out on my roller skates for exercise once a day. I got my roller boots for my birthday last year, after wanting them for ages. I’ve taught myself how to skate from YouTube videos and now I can carve, turn, do bubbles and crossovers. I’m teaching my mum to roller skate too. She’s quite good but I’d really like to teach my dad because he has the worst balance ever.

“I got an inflatable sumo wrestler suit in a charity shop for £1 and I love to wear it when I’m skating. It really makes me laugh to see myself in it and it makes the skating much more fun to do it in disguise – I practise sumo moves too.

“Next time I go skating I’m going to dress up as the Glasgow granny that I dressed up for the Joe Wicks exercise class. So if you see a wee Granny, with a handbag, a dress and a big grey wig, that’s not an old lady, that’s me!”
