“We’ve got a great group of players. Great professionals, brilliant and talented individuals and relentless in striving for success for Celtic. It might not always be that we win every trophy every season. At some point you can’t continue to do that, Trebles and everything else.
“But there might be an off day for a cup game, a sending off or a penalty goes against us and we get knocked out. However, as long as we see the mentality and development side of it, winning the league, then we’ll be happy. We don’t stop, we keep moving forward.”

Kennedy admits his own learning curve has dovetailed with Lennon’s as he watched his boss return to the club for a second spell as a wiser man with a more mellow exterior.
He said: “During Neil’s first spell as manager I was working as a development coach but since his return I’ve been alongside him and it’s been great. Neil was a real fiery character in his first spell. He was learning as he was going along.
“He’d a real willingness to do anything to win and an aggressiveness to go with it.
“From day one coming back he’s been terrific. I noticed straightaway the difference in Neil, much more mature as a manager and seeing the bigger picture.
