WOMEN PUT OFF BY ME WEARING SATIN NIGHTIES
Dear Coleen
I’M A guy with a serious satin fetish. I’ve tried giving up in the past to make relationships work, but I can’t do it and I don’t ever want to.
The material is too lovely not to wear.
The problem is I can’t find a woman who is OK with me wearing satin nighties and suchlike.
What do I do? I just want to be happy with someone.

MAYBE you’ve been looking in the wrong place. I wonder if you’ve tried searching for more niche dating sites or friendship and support groups.
I think the positive thing here is that you’re not trying to hide what you’re into – for example, I get lots of letters from men who secretly cross-dress, who desperately want to tell their long-term partner, but are too afraid to do it.
In some cases, it’s meant years of unhappiness.
So I think it’s always worth being honest with a potential partner from the start, so you don’t waste your time (or hers) or end up facing a painful split down the line because she can’t accept this side of you.
You’ve discovered already that you can’t change yourself to please someone else and I respect that you’ve been honest with yourself and previous partners.
However, I’ve met quite a few guys over the years who do have successful relationships in which their wife or girlfriend accepts their love of lingerie.
So don’t give up hope – maybe you can use this time in lockdown to do some research online and connect with like-minded people.
