Spurs now wing and a prayer Ry

- BY PAUL BROWN

RYAN FRASER may have played his last game for Bournemouth but a dream move to Spurs is in jeopardy.

The Scotland star yesterday rejected a short-term contract extension to stay with the Cherries beyond June 30.

Fraser wants a move to a top-six club – and Tottenham are his preferred destination.

But it is understood their interest has waned and boss Jose Mourinho is yet to sign off on a move for Fraser when he becomes a free agent.

Spurs already have Steven Bergwijn, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela and Heung-min Son to fill their slots out wide, while Mourinho also regards Ryan Sessegnon as a winger.

Fraser was a transfer target for Arsenal last summer but they too now look covered.

They signed Nicolas Pepe last August and still have Gabriel Martinelli, Mesut Ozil, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Reiss Nelson and Bukayo Saka.

Skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has also played wide, with securing his future the Gunners’ top priority.

That leaves Fraser in limbo although he is expected to attract plenty of interest, with West Ham among admirers.

Everton have been sounded out but Goodison Park gaffer Carlo Ancelotti is looking further afield for a winger.

Fraser combined seven goals with 14 assists in the Premier League last season.

But he has managed just one goal and four assists this time around and now faces a backlash from fans with the club in a battle to stay up.

Fraser is still eligible to face Crystal Palace in two days’ time and Wolves next week.

But Cherries boss Eddie Howe is unlikely to field a player who has decided his future lies away from the club.

Simon Francis, Andrew Surman, Charlie Daniels and Artur Boruc have all agreed extensions to cover the final nine games of the season.
