HARBOUR MASTER

- BY GARRY OWEN

OLD HARBOUR (2.45) can coast to victory for Mark Johnston on another trappy card at Beverley.

The colt showed a willing attitude to edge out Velma on his handicap bow over course and distance last time.

The three-year-old remains nicely unexposed on Turf so he can shrug off a 7lb hike in another decent contest.

The Middleham handler can also take the Etton Handicap with PERFECT ROSE (2.15 ).

The filly clearly relished tackling seven furlongs when chasing home the classy Rhea at Haydock back in May 2019.

The three-year-old has been given plenty of time to mature so she can land a competitive event on her return.

BOMB PROOF (12.45) can make a winning debut for James Fanshawe in the opener.

The filly rates a sure-fire improver after slamming Monoski on debut in a warm York novice last season.

COLONY QUEEN (3.45) can reign for Steve Gollings in the Walkington Handicap.

Progressive last year, the filly resumed with a game defeat of the useful Firewater at Newcastle two weeks ago.

The four-year-old is even better on Turf so she can take another big step forward for her shrewd handler. OUR CHARLIE BROWN (4.15) can stay on the upgrade for skilled trainer Adrian Keatley. The gelding can build on his eye-catching third behind Three Cs at Chelmsford on debut for his new connections.

VAMPISH (4:45) can follow up her recent course and distance win in the Wawne Handicap.

The mare remains welltreated for smart new trainer Roland Thomson after that cosy defeat of Sociologist. BLUEBELL TIME (4.35) can kick off a night to remember for jockey Rossa Ryan at Chepstow.

Malcolm Saunders’ unexposed mare can defy a 5lb hike for fending off Royal Appointment over track and trip.

The rider can add a tricky sprint to her tally on Roger Teal’s GREY GALLEON (5.40).

The gelding lurks on a workable mark after an excellent second at Yarmouth first time out for his new trainer. Ryan can bag a hattrick on MARSHAL DAN (6.10) in the Ministry Graphics Handicap.

■ Pyledriver remains on course for the Derby on July 4 as long as he continues to please trainer William Muir.

The Harbour Watch colt had a convincing victory in the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot. And Muir said: “He will go to the Derby if he tells me all is well and at the moment all is well.”
