Le Tissier fears for Lenny but hails Moi return

MATT LE TISSIER believes Fraser Forster’s stunning loan at Celtic could have scuppered his chances of a return to Parkhead, because he’s now in the frame to be Southampton’s No.1 again.
Forster returns to St Mary’s today at the end of his deal, although team-mate Mohamed Elyounoussi has extended his Celtic loan for a second season from Saints.
Neil Lennon is desperate to get Forster back as well as the Hoops gear up for their 10-in-a-row assault and talks are ongoing with Southampton.
Saints legend Le Tissier has watched Forster rebuild his reputation at Celtic and he believes he will have given boss Ralph Hasenhuttl something to think about.
Southampton have yet to settle on a No.1 with Alex McCarthy, Angus Gunn and Harry Lewis all in contention but Le Tissier knows none of them have nailed down the starting spot with McCarthy

Le Tissier said: “In terms of the door being open, I would say that would be the case for Fraser than Moi.
“As you saw against Arsenal, our goalkeeping position isn’t one that has been particularly great this season.
“From that point of view, that is why Fraser would have more of an opportunity. He fell down the pecking order at Southampton but it was good to see him do so well at Celtic.
“He’s built up his confidence again and is looking like his old self.
“The pair have done really well at Celtic, especially Fraser.
“They have both endeared themselves to the fans up there and that is a sure-fire sign of how well somebody has done.”
Sky Sports pundit Le Tissier admitted he was stunned at how Forster went from Saint to sinner at St Mary’s.
He said: “His confidence was shot to pieces here before he came out of the team.
“The Southampton defence, at that time, didn’t have confidence in him and Fraser didn’t look as though he had confidence in himself.
