And for our next stunt...

Actors behind Martin and Kush reveal all the trouble they’ve caused on set

-

Despite Martin Fowler’s recent attempts at being a bad guy, including contemplating becoming a hitman, he and his fellow stallholder Kush Kazemi probably wouldn’t be the first characters you’d name if you had to list Walford’s most troublesome residents.

But apparently it’s a different story off camera, as actors James Bye and Davood Ghadami have been described by the production team as “the naughty kids at the back of the class.”

So Stacey Dooley is going to have her work cut out talking to the real-life mates about their time in the soap in Secrets from the Square.

They look back at their earliest scenes and some of their biggest storylines, which include being in a love triangle with Stacey Slater.

James also opens up about the time he thought he’d killed a stuntman, while Davood recalls the dance routine that showed off his moves before he was recruited for Strictly. All that, and Stacey gets a tour of the market (which is stocked with real veg) and a look back at some of the Fowler family’s biggest moments. On Tuesday, the classic episode focuses on Syed’s wedding to Amira. There’s no James or Davood, but there is Himesh “Tamwar” Patel, who with roles in the movies Yesterday and the upcoming Tenet, as well as the BBC’s current period drama The Luminaries, is on course to becomes one of Walford’s most successful graduates.

But as was so often the case, Tamwar is on the sidelines of his family’s drama, as Zainab discovers the truth about Syed’s relationship with Christian, just as her son is about to tie the knot.
