Lung disease girl, 3, walks for charity
BY TARA FITZPATRICK A THREE-YEAR-OLD who only learned to walk independently in December has raised hundreds of pounds for charity with a 24-mile walking challenge.
Clara Healy, who was born 16 weeks premature weighing just 1.3lb, had been determinedly learning to walk by herself.
And after having to shield from the coronavirus due to having a chronic lung disease, her mum said she has been desperate to get back outdoors.
Mum Sophie Cameron, 26, added: “It was such a shame, she was getting so frustrated.”
Clara, three, will walk four miles every week until she reaches her target. She has raised £900 already.
Money raised will go to the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
