PAINTBALL GUNS ‘SIEGE’

ARMED police rushed to a street on Thursday night after reports of a man with a firearm - and ended up seizing paintball guns.

One man, 21, and two others, both 22, were spoken to by police following the incident at Glasgow’s Harbour Terraces.

Eyewitness described how officers, armed with guns, were shouting at a man inside one of the flats. He added: “They told him to come out with his hands up.”

Residents were told to stay inside and the public ordered to stay clear of the scene.

A police spokesman said: “Paintball guns were seized and will be forensically examined. Nobody was injured and inquiries are ongoing.”
