Uni lends a major hand

A UNIVERSITY has made a breakthrough in the treatment of a disease which causes hand deformity.

Dupuytren’s Disease leads to the little or ring finger beingpulled in towards the palm of the hand.

But a team at Glasgow University has discovered two drugs developed for the treatment of arthritis can successfully treat the condition.

The uni’s Neal Millar said: “Until now, there has been nothing out there for these patients.”
