be down to 10 men just before the break when Oriel Romeu went through the back of Mason Greenwood with a cynical lunge that floored the teenager.

For its reckless nature, it was a straight red card but somehow Romeu escaped even a caution, a decision made even more inexplicable by VAR checking it.

And deep into stoppage time disaster struck for the home side with Obafemi bundling home at the back post from a set-piece after it had been flicked on by Jan Bednarek.

Obafemi said: “I am just happy I could get the equaliser. I was looking on from the bench and thinking ‘I know I can get a goal!’”

FRANK LAMPARD has challenged his Chelsea players to show their character in the battle for a top-four place.

Lampard has not given his players a public dressing down often this season but was highly critical of them for being too quiet during Saturday’s lame surrender at Sheffield United.

Ahead of tonight’s clash with Norwich, the Chelsea boss called for his players to be more vocal on the pitch.

And he also told them to stand up and be counted as they can not afford any more slip-ups, especially as the stakes have been raised by Manchester City overturning their Champions League ban.

Lampard said: “The important thing now is how we react and I expect that from the players.

“I have big personalities and they need to stand up and show bottle.

“They need to show the quality they’ve shown for big parts of the season. I trust they will do.”

LAST NIGHT WYCOMBE boss Gareth Ainsworth paid tribute to the turnaround in his side after seeing them get promoted to the Championship for the first time.

A Joe Jacobson penalty sealed a 2-1 League One play-off triumph over Oxford. And Ainsworth said: “I can’t believe we’re a Championship club.

“We had nine players turn up on the first day of pre-season and two of them were trialists. Today is for all the fans.”
