“They couldn’t do the things they normally do, so there’s been stresses and strains, but the guys have dealt with it wonderfully.
“And Jack and John have taken a lot of the strain of that, and I can’t say ‘thank you’ enough to them. They’ve been terrific, but the whole club’s been terrific, the supporters have been terrific.
“We’ve always got that ambition and this season you can see, albeit we’ve lost a few players we’ve brought in some quality signings.
“I’m looking forward to the season, the acquisitions have been good, we’ve got a very good core team and a great balance across the group.”
Meanwhile, Dempster, left, is eager for Hibs to be involved in testing out the return of supporters to matches.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon revealed last week that stadiums could reopen with social distancing and reduced capacities as early as September 14, with Celtic already expressing a wish to stage test events at Parkhead prior to that date.
And, with Hibs having previously held discussions with Scottish Rugby over the possible use of Murrayfield for matches with supporters,
Dempster is keen for the club to get involved.
She said: “We want to get life back to as normal as we can but we understand there are restrictions.
“We’re looking forward to September and onwards where we get fans into the stadium and hopefully some sort of normality back.”
