FINALLY HOME
AN ELDERLY couple are finally back from Spain – after more than four months of lockdown and 11 cancelled flights.
William and Marion King, from Dundee, had been trying to return from their holiday home in Benalmadena since UK lockdown began on March 23.
They finally managed to fly back to the UK on July 31 with British Airways. Marion, 76, said: “We’ve had 11 flights cancelled.
“We finally flew from Malaga into the City of London.
“Everybody wore their mask. We felt quite safe.
“I was really worried about the flight not going ahead.
“I packed my suitcase and unpacked my suitcase and packed and unpacked. It was very stressful.”

NORTH-EAST pubs linked to the city’s coronavirus outbreak have hit out at health bosses, claiming they had “absolutely no contact” from the NHS despite being named on a red alert list.
NHS Grampian released a list of 28 boozers which people with Covid-19 are believed to have visited.
But the owners of McNasty’s in Aberdeen and Stonehaven’s Marine Hotel have said health chiefs never got in touch with them through the trace and protect system.
McNasty’s said it had closed voluntarily after being contacted by a customer who had tested positive for the virus.
Owner Stephen Taylor said: “Following our statement and actions yesterday and in direct response to the announcement of further lockdown measures by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon earlier today, we can confirm at this point after more than 24 hours since closing our doors voluntarily, we still have had no contact from NHS Grampian or NHS Test and Protect.
