Edmondson injury blow for McInnes Atli’s gutted fans won’t noise him up CELTIC

ABERDEEN’S injury jinx has struck again – with Derek McInnes fearing Ryan Edmondson’s time at Pittodrie might be over.
The on-loan Leeds striker, 19, injured an ankle and could be out for several months.
He’s returned to England to see the Leeds medical team and have the injury assessed.
Edmondson was brought in until January because of injuries to Sam Cosgrove and Curtis Main, who are now likely to be fit before him.
A Dons spokeswoman said: “Ryan has suffered an ankle injury in training. A scan has revealed he could be out for up to three to four months.
“Ryan has now returned to Leeds United to see a specialist who will determine the next steps in his treatment.”
McInnes doesn’t have a senior striker available to train, with Bruce Anderson selfisolating – along with Scott McKenna, Craig Bryson, Matty Kennedy, Dylan McGeouch, Jonny Hayes, Cosgrove and Mikey Devlin.
All are expected to be fit for the Dons’ return against St Johnstone next Thursday.

ATLI SIGURJONSSON is gutted he and his KR Reykjavik team-mates won’t get to play at a packed Parkhead next Tuesday night.
UEFA have confirmed the Icelandic champions will travel to Glasgow for the Champions League qualifier, despite Celtic’s league games being postponed as a result of Boli Bolingoli’s Spanish trip.
While Sigurjonsson is glad the game is going ahead, the winger is disappointed he won’t get to experience the Hoops fans in full voice again.
Sigurjonsson was on the bench when KR lost 4-0 to Celtic at Murrayfield in 2014, and he said: ““It’s great to get a big team like Celtic again but it is disappointing there will be no fans as the last time we played Celtic the atmosphere was unbelievable.
“It was a full stadium and the noise from the fans gave me goosebumps.”
Sigurjonsson, 29, admits he’s in the dark about Celtic.
He added: “I don’t know a lot about the Celtic team but they will be full of quality. We have a small chance.”
