ALBIAN AJETI is one lucky boy to get a £5million crack at joining Celtic.

But Ramon Vega reckons it’s Hoops manager Neil Lennon who will savour the welcome slice of good fortune if he gets the striker back to his blistering Basel best.

Former Parkhead defender Vega believes his 23-year-old compatriot has been afforded a wonderful opportunit­y with the champions prepared to lay out big money to bring him north of the border.

Ajeti arrives in Glasgow with the club on a downer after Boli Bolingoli’s misbehavio­ur caused their season to be disrupted with postponeme­nts of last night’s game at St Mirren and Saturday’s clash with Aberdeen.

However, Ajeti’s capture will help the mood in the camp and Vega reckons Lennon will be all smiles again if he can get the Swiss sharpshoot­er back to his best form.

The attacker failed to hit the heights at West Ham last term having been given few chances after his £8m switch to London from Basel.

However, his stunning form in the previous two terms of 29 league goals in 58 games with the Swiss club is what attracted the Hammers to the deal and Vega says Ajeti has the right tools to sparkle again in Scotland. He said: “If he gets to join Celtic, he’ll be a helluva lucky boy, I can tell you that given the situation he is in at West Ham. He should be excited with the chance. “Ajeti would go from not playing football to joining one of the biggest clubs in the world where he can have an opportunit­y to be successful and be part of history. “I know what it is like, I know what it gives you to be at Celtic. “Neil’s first task would be to take Ajeti into the fold and give him back the confidence which he had at Basle. “He didn’t play as much at West Ham, obviously. But Celtic must have had an eye on him previous to West Ham and saw him performing with Basle because he hardly ever played in London. “Basically, he only trained for them and has had a year not playing regularly. “To get the maximum out of him, they have to scrap his experience of West Ham and get the
