DURING the worst days of the Covid crisis, singing in the choir set up by Reverend Jim Meighan was a huge comfort for the staff at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
So too was the R&R Hub that he created, which became a sanctuary for staff coming off the wards – a place to remove their PPE and take a deep breath.
Now Rev Jim, chaplain at the Royal Hospital for Children and the adjoining Queen Elizabeth, has been nominated for an Unsung Hero Award in this year’s Scottish Health Awards.
