LEW LIVES IN A HOUSE LIKE THIS ..
Star splashes out on £1.6m farmhouse complete with trout pond and island
LEWIS Capaldi has snapped up a sprawling £1.6million farmhouse with its own private island and fishing pond.
The singer is finally leaving his family home in Whitburn, West Lothian for the five-bedroomed property near Eaglesham, south of Glasgow. It comes complete with trout pond, stables, a summer house and hot tub. Pictures show the high-spec design in the Victorian house, which was renovated by its previous owners. A kitchen with a juice bar is included and Capaldi, 23, can entertain friends in the massive conservatory.
The master bedroom includes a walk-in wardrobe and an ensuite Jacuzzi.
His new home’s selling agents McEwan Fraser have said: “There are even trout in the pond, and wildfowl make the occasional visit. It’s beautiful – surrounded by manicured lawns, a summer house, a large terrace and a stunning scented walkway.
“It’s the perfect spot to while away a summer afternoon.”
The new digs are a far cry from Capaldi’s mum and dad’s modest suburban home.
Despite his spectacular success, Capaldi regularly drove his mum’s green hatchback until recently.
And even when he was nominated for a Grammy, he joked that he was still sleeping in his childhood bedroom.
In January, he rubbished claims he has £7.8million in the bank, saying it was more like £200.
He said: “Are you telling me I’m kicking about in the same clothes I’ve worn for the last six months and there’s $ 10million sitting about somewhere – where is it?”
