We have the Will to win it

- BY ALAN MARSHALL

WILLEM II captain Jordens Peters has warned Steven Gerrard not to underestimate his side, ahead of this week’s Europa League showdown.

Rangers travel to Holland to face the Tilburg club in the third qualifying round after they eased past Lincoln Red Imps in Gibraltar.

The Eredivisie outfit warmed up for the clash with a comfortable 4-0 romp over Heracles and the club captain still can’t believe he’ll be up against Gerrard’s side.

Peters said: “This is real European football – playing against a club like Rangers with so much history.

“What could be better than playing Rangers in our full stadium?

“The fans would love a game like that and I would have really liked to have played the away game in Glasgow too.

“I really like the fact that someone like Steven Gerrard is having to analyse us. I wonder what he thinks of me!

“Who would have thought that a few years ago that when he, as one of the best players in the world at Liverpool, would have to study a club like ours!

“But I do believe they will take us seriously. They should not underestimate us. It’s clear though we will have to be very good to go through though.”

Willem II manager Adrie Koster insists he will leave no stone unturned as he prepares for the game.

He said: “That was a very nice way to warm up for the match against Rangers and I was even able to rest some of the players later in the game.

“The hard work starts now. We will be closely studying Rangers. We have looked at them already and it’s clear they are a very good side.”
