CONFIRMED Rebekah on Good Morning Britain sofa

REBEKAH Vardy has vowed to do “whatever it takes to clear my name” as she prepares for a courtroom showdown with Coleen Rooney.

Footballer Jamie Vardy’s WAG, 38, made the declaration as she was confirmed as a Dancing On Ice contestant yesterday.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Rebekah was asked about her legal battle with Coleen, 34, which centres on claims Vardy ’ s Instagram account was leaking and selling stories about her pal’s private life.

She said: “We tried to sort things out amicably, it just didn’t work.

“I understand people think it is ridiculous, but what was I meant to do? I need to clear my name, I want to clear my name and I will do whatever that takes.

“I hope it is going to be resolved soon, it is just one of the things that has to go through the process. I’ve found it really tough, but in comparison with what some people have gone through with Covid it is incomparable.”

On the ITV role, Rebekah said she first ice skated aged seven and takes her children to a rink as a “family thing”.

She added: “I start training in a couple of weeks, so really looking forward to getting my teeth into that. I’m going to give my 100 per cent effort.” She will be up against stars including singer Myleene Klass, Olympian Colin Jackson, skier Graham Bell, soap star Joe-Warren Plant, TV presenter Denise Van Outen and Coronation Street’s Faye Brookes. Aussie star Jason Donovan will also take part, as will ex-Britain’s Got Talent hopeful Sonny Jay.

The series, due to air next year, will be hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

Jayne To r v i l l , Christopher Dean, John Barrowman and Ashley Banjo will be the judges.

Mum-of-five Rebekah is no stranger to reality TV, having appeared on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2017.

Wayne Rooney’s wife Coleen was dubbed “Wagatha Christie” when she publicly claimed Rebekah’s Instagram account was leaking stories last year.

Rebekah denies the accusation and a High Court libel battle will take place within weeks.

Mr Justice Nicklin said a preliminary trial will decide the “natural and ordinary” meaning of Coleen’s posts.

He made the order after Rebekah’s lawyers filed papers at the High Court asking Coleen for the “meaning of the words spoken to be determined”.

Vardy is seeking substantial damages and her lawyers claim the post meant she had “consistently anda repeatedly” betrayed Coleen’s trust over severalse years by leakinleaking her private InstagInstagram posts.

CoColeen was given until Friday to serve a

“stastatement of case”.
