Rangers have hit the heights in Europe but Tavernier knows the trick is now to cut out the slip ups on the home front to maintain the title challenge all the way to the line.

He said: “We’ve shown great signs at the start of the season. We had a great pre-season when we wouldn’t normally have that much time together. We’ve shown since the start of the season we are strong as a unit and we’ve added great players in to the squad.

“It’s all mixed well and everyone has gelled. We are still improving and we know we can get better. That’s the task.

“You saw the great performanc­e the other night and we need to do that domestical­ly and take it in to the game against Ross County.”
