THE TEMPLE OF BOOM

- BY GARRY OWEN

TEMPLEPARK (3.20) can maintain Fergal O’Brien’s winning streak on a competitive Jump card at Ludlow.

The seven-year-old made a hugely impressive return to chasing when slamming Monsieur D’arque at Warwick.

The gelding is admirably consistent so he can shrug off a well-earned 7lb hike under skilled claimer Max Kendrick.

The Gloucester handler can also bag the mares’ handicap hurdle with PROPER TICKET (2.45). Impressive at Southwell, the seven-year-old was then unlucky to meet the unexposed Alpha Carinae at Perth.

The daughter of Gold Well remains open to progress over timber so she can get the better of a strong field.

Champion trainer Nicky Henderson is hitting form so I’m backing MORNING VICAR (4.30). Useful over hurdles, the gelding was travelling strongly when falling on his chasing debut at Newbury.

That race is working out well so the seven-year-old can open his account with a better round of jumping.

PEAT MOSS (5.05) can land the conditionals’ hurdle for shrewd trainer Nigel Hawke.

The three-year-old recorded a clear personal best when just denying Bourbali at Plumpton last month.

The gelding still lurks on an attractive mark so he can see off some exposed rivals in a trappy contest.

SMALL PRESENT (1.15) can extend Sue Smith’s winning run in a trappy opener at Sedgefield.

The gelding can open his account over hurdles with any repeat of his cracking second to Pisgah Pike at Hexham.

Olly Murphy is also flying at present so MISTERCOBAR (2.54) can take the handicap chase. The likeable gelding shaped like his turn was near when chasing home the in-form Simply Loveleh at Uttoxeter.

THE LATE LEGEND (4.0) can enjoy a well-deserved win in the staying handicap chase. Tom Weston’s gelding is open to progress over fences after giving Midnight Magic most resistance at Newton Abbot.

And THE NAVIGATOR (4.35) can take the closing handicap hurdle for thriving Dianne Sayer.
