GOOGLE wants to take over your home and your pocket.
The US tech firm is releasing a gaggle of gadgets in the coming weeks including two smartphones, a speaker and a new way to watch TV.
Here’s a quick guide to all the latest Google gizmos.
PIXEL 4A 5G • £499 – OUT NOVEMBER
Google’s new budget smartphone comes packed with a fast processor, 6.2-inch screen and access to 5G data speeds which will make your home broadband look decidedly sluggish.
The Pixel 4a 5G also gets a cracking rear camera which can snap photos at night without needing a flash and its battery should power you through a day.
PIXEL 5 • £599 – OUT OCTOBER
The Pixel is renowned for being the king when it comes to cameras and Google’s Android phone is taking things up a notch. Using clever software it makes sure every snap you shoot looks like it’s been taken by a pro and it can add even add stunning background blur to your night shots.
Other features include a 6-inch OLED screen, wireless charging and full access to those fast 5G downloads. It also comes in Just Black and Sorta Sage colours.
NEST AUDIO • £89.99 – OUT OCTOBER
After four years, the Google Home smart speaker has been replaced by the new Nest Audio.
This box-shaped boom box is now 50 per cent louder than before, plus there’s improved bass thanks to an in-built woofer.
Of course, being powered by Google it can answer questions, play music and even turn off the lights via voice commands.
CHROMECAST • £59.99 OUT – OCTOBER
This updated streaming dongle plugs into your telly bringing instant access to services such as Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube.
Google’s Chromecast is also now capable of outputting in 4K video with support HDR at up to 60 frames per second and it even ships with a nifty remote.
