ISABELLA GILES (3.35) can land another cracking renewal of the Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket.
Clive Cox’s charge earned her place in this Group 1 when slamming Nazuna in the Rockfel here last time. The juvenile was staying on strongly over seven furlongs that day so she can strike again up in trip.
ACKLAM EXPRESS (1.50) can claim the Cornwallis Stakes for shrewd handler Nigel Tinkler. A game winner at York, the juvenile ran another stormer when fourth to his elders in Listed company at Doncaster.
The gelding remains upwardly mobile so can power to victory under Ryan Moore in this red-hot Group 3.
The Oh So Sharp Stakes is another warm contest but I’m backing THINKING OF YOU (2.25). Joseph O’Brien’s filly improved again when an unlucky third to Elysium in a strong Curragh Group 3.
The two-year-old is still nicely unexposed so she can gain compensation with a clearer passage.
HAPPY POWER (3.0) can extend Andrew Balding’s winning streak in the Challenge Stakes. The grey put in another personal best when outbattling Toro Strike in a decent Goodwood Group 3.
The four-year-old is still on the upgrade so he can bag this Group 2 on the likely soft conditions.
DOUBLING DICE (4.10) is worth punting in the brutally competitive Old Rowley Cup.
Impressive at Hamilton, Hugo Palmer ’ s horse comfortably defeated Grinling on his handicap bow at Haydock. I doubt that we’ve seen the best of this smart type who can defy a well-earned 6lb hike up in class.
LOGICIAN ( 1.35) is impossible to oppose in the
Cumberland Lodge Stakes at York. John Gosden’s star hacked up on his return at Doncaster so he can take this Group 3 without breaking sweat.
The Betsafe Handicap is much trappier but I’m siding with Team Crisford’s CHANCE (2:05). The progressive gelding should be primed after his excellent second to the talented Raaeq at Sandown.
Hugo Palmer is also flying just now and can triumph with STRAWBERRY ROCK (2:40).
