IT’S GRIN UP NORTH

- BY GARRY OWEN

NORTHERN SOCIETY (4.00) can triumph for Keith Dalgleish on the closing day of the Flat Season at Musselburgh.

The four-year-old bagged her third win at this track when bolting up from Indian Pursuit and can shrug off a 6lb hike under Shane Gray.

The Carluke handler can also take the East Lothian Handicap with FINALLY MINE (4.30).

The filly can do plenty of damage in this sphere after chasing home the talented Imrahor at Hamilton.

UGO GREGORY (1.30) can complete a hat- trick for thriving trainer Tim Easterby.

Impressive at Ayr, the grey slammed Real Smooth back at the Craigie venue so he can strike again if the going is soft.

DANZENO (2.00) can enjoy a well-deserved win in the Flying Scotsman Stakes with any repeat of his close second to Roulston Scar at Nottingham.

MARSHAL DAN (2.30) can soar for Heather Main in the S c o t l a n d ’ s Concorde Handicap. A good winner at Haydock, the gelding improved again when third to Epic Endeavour at Newbury.

That was a strong contest so he can resume winning ways off just a 1lb higher mark.

Susan C o r b e tt ’s GORGEOUS GOBOLINA (3.00) can land Division 1 in the five-furlong handicap.

The four-year-old put in another personal best when edging out Lucky Beggar in a warm Newcastle sprint.

The filly has an excellent record at this venue and has a cracking draw in Stall 11.

Division 2 can go to Michael Mullineaux’s SOMEWHERE SECRET (3.30).

The six-year-old ran another stormer when second to the progressive Shepherds Way at Haydock. The speedster remains on a workable mark so he can go one better for his shrewd connections.

ICE STATION ZEBRA (3.10) can maintain Ralph Beckett’s winning streak at Windsor. The three-year-old took another major step forward when dismissing Eye Of The Water at Salisbury.

The three-year-old is still nicely unexposed so he can strike again in the likely soft conditions.
