A VICIOUS sex beast who bound his teenage victim’s wrists with a school tie before raping her has died behind bars.

A probe was launched after evil Gary Gallagher was found dead at HMP Glenochil earlier this week.

The 39-year-old was jailed for a minimum of five years after being found guilty of sexually assaulting and beating three women in a terrifying campaign of violence.

The beast, from Ayr, carried out his first attack when he was just 13 and continued offending until at least 2012.

In 2016, he was jailed at the High Court in Edinburgh after his brave victims reported their ordeals to police.

The court heard Gallagher tied the wrists of one victim with a school tie then raped her despite telling him she was too young for sex.

Another woman was left scarred for life after he struck her with a knife while slapping, punching, kicking, stamping on her and pulling her hair.

His third victim was assaulted on her 17th birthday by the brute, who throttled her during the terrifying attack.

He was found guilty of 25 charges of sexual and physical violence against all three women and told he may never be released unless he could prove he was no longer a danger.

Passing sentence, Lady Scott said: “You have no remorse. You blame your victims and you do not care about the harm you have inflicted.

“You take no responsibility. You have apparently no wish to change.”

Gallagher was also branded a “very dangerous individual” by a senior police officer who led the investigation into his horrific crimes. Speaking at the time, Detective Inspector Gil l ian Faulds said: “He is a v er y dangerous individual who carried out a campaign of violence on three partners who will no doubt be affected by the experience for the rest of their lives. “Despite the horrific abuse the women suffered at the hands of Gallagher, they managed to find the strength to speak to police and testify in court to ensure that he was held to account for his actions.” Gallagher’s death has been reported to Police Scotland but there are not bel ieved to be any suspicious circumstances. The Scottish Prison Service confirmed his death and said a fatal accident inquiry will be held.
