WOMAN, 29, DIES IN FLAT FIRE

A YOUNG woman has died after a fire broke out at a flat in Edinburgh.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Oxgangs Park shortly after midnight on November 14.

The 29-year-old woman was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary but she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Another person in the flat, a 40-year-old, was also taken to hospital for treatment but has since been released.

Police said inquiries into the cause of the blaze are ongoing but there were no suspicious circumstances.
