Sad death of Record print boss John

TRIBUTES have been paid to former Daily Record print manager John Walker after his death following a short illness.

John retired in 2005 after 28 years as a printer of the Scottish Daily Record, the last 10 years as a manager at the Glasgow printworks.

A family friend said: “John was well respected by his peers and will be sorely missed by his friends and colleagues.

“He is survived by wife Linda and family.”
