Man charged over flats bomb scare

A MAN has been charged after a suspicious package was found at a block of flats.

Residents were evacuated from the Sinclair Road area of Aberdeen on Thursday evening before bomb disposal officers made it safe.

Police yesterday said a man aged 35 had been arrested and charged over the incident.

A force spokeswoman said: “We were called around 5.25pm to a report of a suspicious item at a block of flats.

“A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.”
