Confusing times

HAVING discovered I can be fined for doing my weekly shopping at Sainsbury’s Irvine in North Ayrshire as I live just over the border in East Ayrshire, I asked the nice chap in my local Post Office if you could get a border pass. He said he had the same problem in his country when entering Kashmir. He just asked politely and slipped the border guards a few rupees. Confusing times for us senior citizens. Anonymous, via email
