He said: “I made the points about the government response a couple of weeks go and I was more annoyed about how we were treated. There was a discrepancy in the way we were treated.

“The sanctions on the (Rangers) players are very heavy and I think that should be a warning for everyone associated with the game.

“The rules are there now and we have to abide by them or you’ll get severely punished.

“We’ve made that clear to the players.”

Lennon was relieved to avoid any more positive Covid tests during the latest international break and insisted the fortnight has been used to get key men up to speed.

Christopher Jullien is close to a return following back surgery while Albian Ajeti has spent two weeks sharpening fitness ahead of the Hibs game today.

MESSAGE Celts boss Lenny likes of Ajeti have had a really good couple of weeks, Diego Laxalt and Olivier Ntcham, Brownie.

“They have had a really good couple of weeks away from the limelight but have been working hard behind the scenes.

“The quality in training has been good but it’s just good to have them back. It’s been a bit disjointed.

“We have a run of games now where we will all be together and we are very much looking forward to it.”

Lennon’s Scotland heroes are on a highh but he is hoping Odsonne onne Edouard can bring his scoring form for France Under-21s back to Celts.

The hitman got two o against Switzerland d and the Hoops boss s said: “Odsonne’s goals s were beautiful and he looked more like the he Odsonne of last season. n.
