U-21 STARS HAVE COVID

- BY FRASER WILSON

LIVINGSTON keeper Robby McCrorie and an unnamed Aberdeen star have tested positive for coronavirus after being away on Scotland Under-21 duty.

McCrorie has now been ruled out of this afternoon’s clash with

St Mirren after the Euro qualifier in Greece while the Dons player is also out of the Rangers clash at Ibrox in tomorrow’s lunchtime showdown.

Both players are now self-isolating – with the Aberdeen youngster also ruled out of the Dons’ trip to face Hamilton in the league on Wednesday.

Livi’s on-loan Rangers keeper McCrorie has not featured for the Lions since the 3- 1 hammering to Kilmarnock last month.

But it leaves Gary Holt with just Max Stryjek and veteran Gary Mailey as options between the sticks and he will now have to come up with a plan of who he will start.

It’s also the second positive case to hit the Pittodrie side after another unnamed star contracted the virus.

Scotland Under 21s went down 1-0 to the Greeks on Tuesday.

That disastrous result subsequently killed off their hopes of qualifying for next summer’s European Championships co-hosted by Hungary and Slovenia.
