Every mistake is getting punished and everyone is frustrated but we are always going to keep fighting
points at Kilmarnock on day two. Not dealing with basic set-plays resulted in the loss to Rangers. Nine points gone due to their own errors. Slackness and poor decision making at key times is killing them. Christie felt the pain in Leith and said: “We’ve gone away from home to a hard place and scored two goals. That should be enough to be honest. “We’re not expecting to go there and have the game wrapped up after half an hour. “We knew it might be a tight match and that if we have to win it by one goal then that is fine. “But we have to keep the door at the other end shut. It is something we need to work on. Stop the errors. It’s frustrating. “It’s something we’re going to have to pick up on. “Especially the penalty. You are buzzing to see Bainy save it and three seconds later it’s in the net anyway. “Stuff like that kills you when you are dominating at such a tough place.” Celtic’s late fightback did display heart among the group and a determination to rescue the selfinflicted situation.
As far as Christie is concerned, however, that’s a given as he added: “We are always going to keep fighting. We’ve got that about us in the changing room.
“I think more than anything, at 2-0 down, it was just the complete shock of it.
“But we knew we needed to get something out of that game because we deserved it. We deserved at least a point.
“The goal was inevitable coming from us because we kept fighting. I thought in the first half we did pretty well and the only frustrating thing was not being able to put the ball in the back of the net.
“We had plenty of chances and we looked like a threat from set-pieces.
“Plus their keeper pulled off a few great saves. We went in at half-time feeling very positive.
“On a different day it could have been 2-0 or 3-0 at half-time.
“But when we are playing that well and creating chances we just need to make sure we are switched on at the other side so that teams can’t punish our mistakes.
“So that if we are not scoring then we are definitely not conceding at the other end.”
We shot ourselves in the foot. After the first-half display we should have won game
