Back off... Shane on all of you

Enders star’s son hits out at the critics attacking his dad

- BY MARK JEFFERIES

SHANE Richie’s son has hit back angrily at claims his dad is playing a game on I’m A Celebrity – and branded his campmates “boring”.

In recent days, the 56-year-old EastEnders star has been criticised for moaning and some viewers also suggest he is acting for the cameras.

But son Shane Nolan, 31, said: “I love the relationships he is having in there with Vernon and Jordan.

“It is horrible to see online people saying my dad is playing a game. What are you f*****g on about that my dad is playing a game?

“If any of you know him, you know he is not playing a game.

“You would come back thinking you are the bee’s knees after winning 12 stars, I would.

“It is 2020, people just love to moan. It is hard to read though.”

Referring to his row with AJ Pritchard over cleaning the pans, Shane added: “He ain’t gonna be everyone’s cup of tea, I know that. But when it is unjust and you see people slate your dad, it is hard.

“Granted, he cannot clean, my stepmum will vouch for that and everyone can vouch for that. AJ was a little bitch talking about him, back off. But he probably could have done better. “He didn’t do the washing up properly, so what? He did get on my t*ts a bit, AJ.” Shane – whose mum is Richie’s first wife, Record columnist Coleen Nolan – is hosting a nightly show on his social media page where he speaks to fans, urging them to vote for his dad when the time comes. Previously, he was encouraging people to vote for his dad to have to do trials. But he thinks he has suffered enough now. Talking about other characters on the show, he said: “There are some of them you don’t get to see. We haven’t seen Russell since he came in and the MBE paralympian [Hollie]. Do you know why? Because they are f*****g boring.” Looking ahead, he added: “I think my dad is top three [ finalist] at the minute but there is a lot of hate online. If he came out now I would tell him he has done me proud. “Even if he went out first now, I would be chuffed with him and I don’t think he is going to go out first. “Please vote for him to stay in, even if you have to spend a few quid. I will buy you a drink.”
