CELTIC VASILIS BARKAS

5 Big chance to nail down his place but looked ropey for free-kick first. Never really made important save.

Needed to be stronger at more than a few goals and seemed like the trouble was all down his side.

Almost looks too relaxed at times but distribution was decent and made several key interventions.

Impressed at times when striding forward with the ball but still not dominant enough at the back.

6 Gave a decent account of himself against his employers up against a tough customer in Castillejo.

SCOTT BROWN

Really solid start but it got tougher as game wore on and the Italians grabbed control of the game.

6 One of the trailing trio for the third goal but bust a gut for 90 minutes going box to box.

JEREMIE FRIMPONG

6 Pace caused Milan problems down right early on but too often took the wrong option in final third.

6 Classy finish and inches away from a second. Busy and dangerous before tiring.

RYAN CHRISTIE

7 Sublime reverse pass for Edouard’s goal. A threat but dived in at free-kick for Calhanoglu’s strike. ODSONNE EDOUARD 7 Much more like his old self. Finish was sensational. Looked keen to play himself back into form.

Moved the ball neatly. 4

A rare opportunity. Seemed keen.

Couldn’t make much impact late on. Not used: Bain, Hazard, Jullien, Taylor, Ajeti, Henderson, Welsh. AC MILAN: Donnarumma 6, Dalot 7, Kjaer 2 (Romangnoli 12 6), Gabbia 6, Hernandez 6, Krunic 5 (Tonali 46 6), Kessie 6 (Bennacer 61 5), Calhanoglu 7 (Diaz 61 5), Castillejo 8; Rebic 6; Hauge 8.
