RANGERS will face a tricky test against Royal Antwerp but it could have been harder.

Steven Gerrard’s side will fancy their chances after they avoided Real Sociedad, with the Basque giants instead drawing Manchester United.

But what can the Glasgow side expect from their opponents? Here Record Sport profiles the Jupiler League club.

Domestic form Antwerp have been poor, shipping 25 goals in 16 games to sit seventh in the league.

They are eight points behind leaders Club Brugge and are competing with Standard Liege in mid-table, whom the Light Blues have already beaten this season – both home and away in Group D.

European record An ever-present in the early rounds of the UEFA Cup and Europa League.

This season they finished second in their group after beating Tottenham in Belgium. They also defeated Ludogorets and LASK.

Players to watch

Jordan Lukaku, brother of Inter superstar Romelu and cousin of Celtic outcast Boli Bolingoli, is one of their star men.

Veteran striker Dieumerci Mbokani, who has played for Norwich, Hull, Wolfsburg and Monaco, is the club’s top scorer this season.
