- BY MARK JEFFERIES

THE release of the new James Bond movie, No Time To Die, looks set to be delayed yet again.

The film’s official release date is April 2 but newspaper reports suggest it will now not be out until November.

And promotional partners are reported to have been told its release is “on a new date in autumn”.

The official website for the film – directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga – has April 2, 2021, as its release date and on Twitter, the official @007 account states: “No Time to Die will be released on April 2, 2021.”

Distributors MGM were forced to quash rumours about whether it was considering offering the film to streaming services.

It had reported that Netflix, Amazon and Apple had all been approached about the possibility of the movie being offered up for Premium VOD but were not willing to finance the deal at the price offered.

An MGM spokesperson said: “We do not comment on rumours. The film is not for sale. Its release has been postponed until April 2021 in order to preserve the theatrical experience for moviegoers.”

In No Time To Die – the franchise’s 25th film – Bond (Daniel Craig) has quit his job and is living a quiet life in Jamaica.

But when his old CIA friend Felix Leiter ( Jeffrey Wright) turns up asking for help, Bond returns to the field to face villain Safin (Rami Malek).

Safin is armed with new dangerous technology that could impact the world.

Cuban-Spanish actress Ana de Armas plays a CIA agent named Paloma.
