Four charged over roof climb

- By RYAN CARROLL

FOUR men have been charged by police after allegedly climbing the roof of a fire-damaged nightclub.

The men are accused of climbing on the roof of Campus, on Sauchihall Street, damaged in Glasgow School of Art’s Mackintosh building fire in 2018.

AN ATTEMPTED murder probe was launched by police yesterday after three young men were stabbed.

The attack took place at Greenfield Park football pitches in Carntyne, Glasgow, at about 8.20pm on Saturday.

A group of young people were in the car park when a gang of men attacked them, resulting in three young men being stabbed.

Three men, two aged 21 and one aged 19, were taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be treated for stab wounds.

Police say the injuries inflicted were “severe and extremely serious”.

Officers have carried out extensive enquiries and have been combing CCTV images for any relevant information.

DI Stephen Greenshields said: “This has been an unprovoked attack on a group of young people which could have left them dead.

“The injuries were severe and extremely serious. It is unacceptable that people think they can behave in such a way and think they will get away with it. Let me assure you, they will not.”
