Man by Man
RANGERS
ALLAN McGREGOR 8
A couple of ropy moments with his feet early on. No chance with the goal, made a decent save from a free-kick and produced a wonder save at the end.
NATHAN PATTERSON 6
Had big boots to fill in the absence of James Tavernier. The 19-year-old toiled initially to get to grips with Olayinka but superb late block.
CONNOR GOLDSON 8
Captain did well to hold his defence together after the early goal, making one crucial tackle. Played his part in the leveller too.
FILIP HELANDER 8
Had to use all his positional sense to keep Slavia’s attack at bay and the bonus came at the other end when the Swede was on hand to poke home Rangers’ equaliser.
BORNA BARISIC 6
Booked for bringing down Kuchta and spent more time defending than marauding down the left in his usual fashion.
GLEN KAMARA 6
Strange combination of misplaced passes with some moments of real composure to keep possession.
STEVEN DAVIS 7
Grew into the game the longer it went on, knitting the midfield together and keeping it neat, tidy and effective.
JOE ARIBO 7
Started on the left and was fairly anonymous for 45 minutes but a real force in the second half.
IANIS HAGI 6
Sloppy in his passing early on but deserves credit for staying alive in the box to create Helander’s leveller.
ALFREDO MORELOS 7
Won foul that led to the equaliser. Strong hold-up play to win fouls and get his side up the pitch.
RYAN KENT 6
Wasn’t as influential as he has been of late. Still did a real shift off the ball to help Barisic on the left and almost snatched a second goal.
SUBS: Scott Arfield – replaced Hagi and offered protection for Patterson on the right, 4. Kemar
Roofe – put himself about in last 10 minutes, 2. Bongani Zungu – on for last two minutes, 1.
Referee: Ovidiu Hategan
